Robbie named a BRITs Icon

Robbie named a BRITs Icon

We are thrilled to announce that Robbie will be honoured with the BRITs Icon Award, becoming the third recipient of the prestigious prize alongside Sir Elton John and David Bowie.

The award is only presented to artists whose writing, recording and performances have set them apart as having made a lasting impact on British culture, recognising the very highest level of British musical achievement. Congratulations Robbie!

Robbie will play a special one-off show, presented by Café Royal, in celebration of the honour. Set to take place at London's Troxy on 7 November, this one-of-a-kind performance will feature many of Robbie's classic hits, unique collaborations and highlights from The Heavy Entertainment Show, plus a few surprises...

It will also include an interview with Robbie as well as interviews with key figures and friends who have influenced his life and career.

The show will then be aired in a 90-minute ITV special later in the year.

Reacting to the news, Robbie said: "It's a real honour for me to be given this award and I can't want to play songs from my new album, and from my catalogue, at the Troxy on 7th November. The BRIT Awards are very special to me, and I'm humbled to be receiving the 18th of my career next month."

Tickets to the gala concert go on sale next Monday, 10 October, via RobbieWilliams.com and the Troxy box office.
