Swings Both Ways Live: The Countdown

Robbie’s spectacular Swings Both Ways Live tour is set to open in a little over a fortnight and we hope you’re as excited as we are!

Kicking off in Budapest on 25th April, Robbie’s 46 date tour will see him Swing across Europe, the UK and Australia, taking in Hungary, the Czech Republic, Austria, Italy, the Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland and Switzerland before landing back in the UK on 13th June.

Following in the footsteps of his one-off swing show at the London Palladium in November 2013, Robbie’s repertoire will feature songs from both of his number one swing albums, 2001’s Swing When You’re Winning and last year’s Swings Both Ways.

Robbie’s breathtaking Palladium performance saw him joined by several special guests, including his Dad, Pete Conway, who will return to the swing stage once again for this tour. Looking ever the dapper dandy, Robbie will be dressed by Saville Row tailor Spencer Hart and accompanied by a classic big band and eight dancers.

Teaming up for another outing with long time collaborator and show producer, Lee Lodge, Robbie has also added the talents of West End choreographer and performer Alistair David (Fosse, The Sound of Music, Tonight’s The Night, Sinatra at the London Palladium) to ensure the show is an all-singing, all-dancing extravaganza.

ROBBIE SAYS

This Swings Both Ways tour is very different from any previous Robbie Williams tour, and I think it’s going to be very special. When I was young the television companies in the UK saw fit to broadcast replay after replay after replay of all the classic old musicals. I think most kids my age were bored and turned off by things like that, but I wasn’t. I was engrossed in it all, lost in the magic of the glamour, and entranced by the craftsmanship of those times. I want this to be a show that gives you the same feeling that I used to have at my grandma’s on a Saturday night, watching the Morecambe & Wise show on TV: a show with variety and lots of showbusiness moments. I know my jazz hands are going to be so tired after this tour. I intend to do my very best to ensure that every one of you is heavily entertained.

To follow all the action, you can sign up to Upfront with Robbie Williams, a brand new service documenting Robbie’s progress across Europe, the UK and Australia. Members can go backstage and behind the scenes with access to exclusive photos, videos and live tracks, plus phone calls and texts from Robbie and the chance to meet the man himself on tour.
