In a brilliant start to the new year, we can announce that Robbie has today been nominated for a BRIT Award, with his No.1 single Candy up for the much-coveted title of Best British Single!
Taken from his No.1 album Take The Crown, Candy was released on 29th October last year and shot straight to the top spot on the Official UK Singles Chart, marking Robbie's 7th No.1 solo single.
"Really chuffed that Candy has made it into the Best Single nominations at this year's BRITs," Robbie said of news. "I've been coming to the show for so long, it's great at this point to have a song recognised from Take The Crown. I'll be there on the night, it's always fun. As for Best Male, you gotta vote Olly Murs - my tour mate".
As if being nominated for Best British Single wasn't enough, Robbie will also be performing live at the awards, which take place in London on 20th February 2013 and will be hosted by Robbie's good friend James Corden. With a record 12 BRIT Awards already under his belt (not to mention another five with Take That), Robbie is no stranger to the ceremony, meaning this is definitely one show not to be missed!
Full coverage of the event will be available to watch live on the night on ITV1.
Here's a little reminder of the song that'll be battling it out for the top spot once again. Enjoy!
