Robbie Cleans Up At Awards

The CADS are the Oscars of the music industry and recognise the talented bods behind music visuals – the eye candy that accompanies the tunes. Robbie’s work was named in nominations for a whopping five categories:

  • She’s Madonna for Best Pop Video
  • The 80’s for Best Online Video
  • Goodbye to the Normals for Best Director
  • And Through It All for Best Live DVD
  • Rudebox Commercial for Best Music TV Commercial

As fans will know, the online video for the 80’s is an entry from the winner of our competition, Rudebox Shorts, in which we invited filmmakers to submit a video clip for the RW’s song. A jury that included Jonathon Ross and Robbie himself voted Vincenzo Ricchiuto & Massimo Sbaraccani joint winners, so we’re high-fiving their inclusion and hoping they’re on a winning streak.

The supercool commercial for Rudebox was created by the genius Hangman Studios. And Through It All is the chart topping live DVD featuring footage spanning 1997-2006 that includes 50 tracks from knock out performances at Slane Castle and Knebworth to the Top of the Pops duet with Pocket Rocket, Kylie Minogue. The awards will be held at The Troxy, a 1930’s Art Deco cinema in east London on June 27th.

With the dress code stipulating ‘No tu tu’s….but guerrilla suits welcome’ we’re thinking it might be an interesting night! Stay posted for results here at www.robbiewilliams.com. As soon as we know…so will you!
