Rock DJ

"This song is a party song, that is party songs usually have inane lyrics that mean nothing. Everything else has been, you know, emotional. It's been, I'm sad, or, I need love or, I'm lonely or.... You know, it's not a depressing album, but it has been about sadness, being lonely and being depressed, funnily enough, but done in an upbeat way.

I actually just went Ian [Dury], 'will you please send me a rhythm' and then he went, 'Singing in the classes, music for your masses, give no head no backstage passes...'

The video is: I'm doing the ultimate strip tease. Walk into this club and there's all these ladies there and I'm a bit like 'yeah, I'm cool', but check out the DJ, she's dirty. And the DJ 's not giving me anything back to warrant me going, 'look, I'm Robbie Williams', so I start dancing. Then all of a sudden she goes, [mimics look], like that, literally, hah! Like that. What have I gone and done? I've gone and taken my skin off, haven't I, and start doing this ultimate strip tease and then I take pieces of my flesh and throw them into the crowd, and then I get down to my bones: puff! Robbie is gone but he'll be back for the next video."
